Premier Moving steps up to assist Vector Industries with big move

Vector Industries was able to secure the donation of more than $30,000 worth of furniture from Union Bank & Trust, but there was one catch.

Vector could take what it needed to furnish its new facility on 1300 Hopeman Parkway in Waynesboro, but it had to move the items from Salem.

“It was a busy day. It involved three trucks, so it was monumental,” said Chrissy Johnston, the CEO of Vector Industries, a unique non-profit that employs and trains persons with diverse disabilities to enable them to reach their potential as productive community members.

Enter Premier Moving, based in Verona, which provided the labor and manpower to make the move happen.

“Being born and raised in this community, we like to give back to the community as much as possible. Vector Industries is such a great organization, and it was a pleasure and an honor to be able to help out Vector Industries,” said Raider Campbell, the owner of Premier Moving, founded in 1999.

Johnston credited Campbell and Premier Moving for “stepping up to the plate” to help with its big move.

“This move for Vector Industries to 1300 Hopeman Parkway is so important. It’s the first time we’ve moved in 45 years,” Johnston said.

“We can’t make this possible without people like Raider Campbell and Premier Moving for helping us get there.”

Campbell said his company is glad to be a part of what Vector Industries does to make the Greater Augusta community a better place to live.

“Anyone that can help out these folks, these are fantastic folks. This is such a fantastic organization. I urge the community to get involved with them as much as possible,” Campbell said.
